3 chart elements to consider when manifesting your dream life
How to tailor your manifestations based on your energy type, g-center definition, and perspective arrow
There are a lot of ways to manifest the life of your dreams: journaling, affirmations, mantras, meditation, vision boards, and — increasingly — techniques backed by neuroscience, like To Be Magnetic.
Each methodology approaches manifestation in a slightly different way, but they all come down to same principle: manipulating energy in order to create your reality.
Through the lens of human design, manifestation is about magnetism. It’s the art — and, some might say, science — of becoming a magnet for what you want to call in.
While it’s true that human design suggests we all have a predetermined purpose in this life, our purpose can be fulfilled in a multitude of ways. It’s never a specific vocation or lifestyle — rather, it’s an energetic frequency that you’re uniquely designed to contribute to the people, projects, and places you come into contact with.
As such, manifestation can still be a valuable (and fun!) tool to experiment with as you pave your own path.
Like most things in life, I don’t believe any one manifestation methodology is universally effective. It comes down to personal preference, alignment, purity of intentions, and your commitment to trusting the process.
However, no matter what approach you choose, I do believe that you can increase your chances of successfully manifesting your dream life by considering your human design.
Specifically, there are three chart elements I recommend you look at: energy type, g-center definition, and the perspective arrow. In this post, I take a closer look at each of these and offer some practical suggestions on how to personalize your manifestation based on your human design chart.
If you don’t have your human design chart yet, you can create one here.
1. Energy Type
Each type is designed to co-create with the universe in a slightly different way based on the underlying mechanics of how their energy works. Honoring your type’s strategy is the most effective way to amplify your magnetism and supercharge your manifestation.
When you manifest in alignment with your type, the process will feel effortless because the universe is actively conspiring with you to bring about whatever it is that you desire.
When you try to manifest in a way that is not aligned for your type, however, the process will feel draining, drawn out, and disappointing.
For example:
Let’s say you’re a generator who wants to manifest a new partner.
If you try to co-create with the universe like a manifestor would, you may see a person sitting alone at the bar and walk straight up to them to initiate a conversation. This will likely not end well. They may look up from their drink only for you to realize that there is zero spark, or their boyfriend or girlfriend may walk in shortly after to join them.
If you co-create with the universe like a generator, you may sit down on the opposite side of the bar and order yourself a drink first. At some point in the night, you may lock eyes with this stranger and feel a sudden jolt of lightning in your belly or goosebumps on your skin. Only once you’ve experienced this response, will you walk over and introduce yourself. Next thing you know, you’re exchanging numbers and planning your first date.
The key to being your most magnetic self is honoring your type’s strategy so you can work with the universe instead of against it:
Generators & Manifesting Generators — you are most magnetic when you wait for your body to respond to something you see/hear/taste/read before deciding you want it. Pay attention to these responses and learn to trust them. The more you fill your days and life with the people, activities, and places that evoke a physical response in you, the easier it will be to attract whatever it is you want.
Projector — you are most magnetic when your gifts are being recognized and you’re honoring your body’s need for rest. By waiting for an invitation, you ensure that your contributions are valued and that you aren’t wasting precious energy on people and projects that won’t deliver a return on that investment. But you don’t need to sit back idly. Find ways to showcase the skills and traits you want to be known for and you will naturally start to attract opportunities that will amplify these gifts.
Manifestors — you are most magnetic when you’re forging your own path instead of following others. By informing others of where you’re going and what you’re doing, you make it easier for the right people to support you — and for everyone else to get out of your way. Moreover, by honoring your urges instead of allowing other people’s preferences or needs to distract or delay you, you are more likely to initiate the events and creations that will have the greatest ripple effect.
Reflector — you are most magnetic when you’re living in the moment and giving yourself ample time to feel into what is — or is not — aligned. By waiting a lunar cycle, you give your body time to acclimatize and move through the many sensations it will experience in response to your environment. Only when you allow yourself to create spaciousness and let go of attachment to any specific feelings, identities, or thoughts, can you attract whatever is meant for you.
